Teachings Of Quran For Young Learners

قرآن حکیم میں متعدد اہم دعائیں شامل ہیں۔ بیسویں سورت کی آیت نمبر 114 – کے آخر میں تین الفاظ پر مشتمل یہ دعا
علم میں اضافہ کے بارے میں ہے:
رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْماً
(اے پروردگار میرے علم میں اضافہ فرما!)
اسلام میں علم و ہنر اور تعلیم و تدریس کو مرکزی حیثیت دی گی ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ اہل علم کو پسند فرماتے ہیں۔ جہالت اور جاہلوں سے پناہ مانگنے کے لیے کہا گیا ہے۔ اسلام اور جہالت دو بالکل متضاد باتیں قرار دی گئی ہیں۔
ایک زمانہ تھا کہ مسلمان علم و ہنر کے قائد تسلیم ہوتے تھے۔ وجہ یہ تھی کہ انہوں نے علم کے بارے میں قرآنی ہدایات کو پلے باندھ لیا تھا۔ وہ علم کے حصول اور اشاعت کے لیے بڑی تگ و دو کیا کرتے تھے۔ دنیا بھر میں ان کے علم و ہنر کے چرچے ہوتے تھے۔ جب مسلمانوں نے ہسپانیہ فتح کر لیا تو ان کے تحقیق کئے ہوئے علوم اسی خطے کے ذریعے دنیا کے دور دراز علاقوں میں پھیلتے گئے۔ دنیا میں احیاء علوم کی ہمہ گیر تحریک کے حقیقی بانی دراصل مسلمان ہی تھے۔
پھر مسلمانوں میں تنزل کی لہر چلنے لگی ۔ انہوں نے علم اور تحقیق سے منہ موڑ لیا ۔ ان پر سطحیت اور جہالت کی چھاپ رنگ جمانے لگی ۔ ان کے ہاتھوں سے نہ صرف علم ہی کی قیادت نکلنے لگی بلکہ ان کے زیر اقتدار علاقے بھی ان کی حکمرانی سے باغی ہوتے گئے کیونکہ دنیا میں یہ اصول ازل سے کار فرما ہے کہ حکومت وہی کرتا ہے جس کے پاس ٹھوس علم و ہنر ہو۔
آج دنیا کے کسی خطے میں بھی مسلمانوں کو علمی اعزاز و فضیلت حاصل نہیں۔ مسلمانوں میں علم کے اضافے اور احیاء کے لیے بڑی تخلیقی منصوبہ بندی کی اشد ضرورت ہے۔ ابتدائی تعلیم کا سارا نظام جدت پسند معلموں کے سپرد کرنا اشد ضروری ہے۔ ثانوی تعلیم سے رٹائی اور نقالی کا فوری خاتمہ وقت کا اہم ترین تقاضا ہے کیونکہ ہمیں رٹو طوطوں کی بجائے تخلیقی قائدوں کی ضرورت ہے۔
کالج اور یونیورسٹی تعلیم کے دروازے فقط مستحق ذہین طلبہ کے لیے کھولنے چاہئیں۔ یونیورسٹیوں میں نری تدریس کی بجائے اعلیٰ تحقیق پر زور دیا جانا چاہیے۔ تعلیم کی ہر سطح پر لائبریری اور لیباریٹری کا پر مقصد استعمال عام کرنا بھی بے حد ضروری ہے۔ اپنے کام میں لگن، جدت اور تخلیقی صلاحیتوں کا ثبوت دینے والے طلبہ اور اساتذہ کی انتہائی فراخ دلی سے حوصلہ افزائی ہونی چاہئیے اور تعلیمی کاموں میں کسی قسم کی غفلت اور منفی سرگرمیوں کے مرتکب طلبہ اور اساتذہ کا سخت مواخذہ ہونا چاہیے۔

English Translation :
The Holy Qur’an contains numerous important supplications. At the end of verse 114 of the twentieth Surah, there is a prayer consisting of three words:
رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْماً
(O my Lord, increase me in knowledge!)
This supplication is about the increase of knowledge.
In Islam, knowledge, skill, education, and teaching have been given a central place. Allah Almighty loves people of knowledge, and it has been commanded to seek refuge from ignorance and the ignorant. Islam and ignorance have been declared two completely opposite things.
There was a time when Muslims were recognized as leaders in knowledge and skill. The reason was that they held firmly to the Qur’anic guidance regarding knowledge. They strove greatly for the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge. Their scholarship and skills were celebrated across the world. When Muslims conquered Spain, the sciences they had developed spread from that region to distant parts of the world. The true founders of the universal revival of knowledge were in fact the Muslims.
Then came a wave of decline among Muslims. They turned away from knowledge and research. Superficiality and ignorance began to dominate them. They not only lost the leadership of knowledge, but even the territories under their control started to slip away, because the principle has always prevailed in this world that power belongs only to those who possess solid knowledge and skill.
Today, Muslims in no part of the world hold any distinction or excellence in knowledge. For the increase and revival of knowledge among Muslims, a great deal of creative planning is urgently required. The entire system of primary education must be entrusted to forward-looking teachers. The immediate abolition of rote memorization and imitation from secondary education is one of the most urgent needs of the time, because we need creative leaders, not parrots of repetition.
The doors of college and university education should be opened only for deserving and intelligent students. In universities, the focus should be placed on advanced research instead of mere teaching. At every level of education, the purposeful use of libraries and laboratories must be made common. Students and teachers who demonstrate dedication, innovation, and creative abilities in their work should be encouraged with great generosity, while students and teachers guilty of negligence and negative activities in educational matters must be held strictly accountable.
