سلاتھ ٹراپیکل امریکا میں پایا جاتا ہے ۔ یہ کاہل جانور کئی ہفتوں بلکہ مہینوں تک درختوں سے الٹا لٹکا رہتا ہے۔ یہ درختوں کے پتے کھا کر گزارہ کرتا ہے۔ دودھ پلانے والا یہ جانور رات بھر جاگتا ہے اور خاموش مزاج ہونے کی وجہ سے تمام عمر گوشۂ تنہائی میں بیکار گزار دیتا ہے۔ اس کی مادہ صرف ایک بچہ جنتی ہے۔
The Laziest Animal
The sloth (Tropical) is found in America. This lethargic animal hangs upside down from trees for weeks, even months. It survives on tree leaves. Being a mammal, it stays awake all night and, due to its quiet nature, spends its entire life in solitude doing nothing. The female gives birth to only one baby.

Among reptiles, this is an unbelievable record of longevity. Once, these islands were full of such tortoises, but now the species is nearing extinction. On average, one tortoise weighs more than 600 pounds.
